Welcome!
The Holstein House Gardens
surround a privately owned
second generation home located
between Albany and Corvallis,
Oregon
south of Hwy 34.
It
was built in 1900 and the
classic red barn followed soon
thereafter. The existing gardens
began to develop
in the 1980s by
Bonny Bowens
who resides
there now with
her husband,
John, the
"maintenance
foreman".
Various themed
gardens include
a Streamside
Garden, the
Autumn Garden, a
semi formal
English cottage
garden which
includes ponds
and a stream and
cottage, A Knot
Garden and so
much more. Other
areas too
delight visitors
such as the
Secret Garden,
the Tunnel
Trellis, the
Soothing Shade
Garden and,
well, you'll
just have to see
it to appreciate
it!
Historic
Holstein House
Garden & Arts
offers popular
garden art
welding
classes
in the winter
and outdoor
weddings in the
summer.
We are booked
full for 2009.
All Weddings and
special events
receive our
personal
attention and we
only accept a
few each summer
so we may
maintain that
unique quality
that each should
have. We
are a husband
and wife team
and we have
opened our home
and gardens to
share with you
for your
enjoyment and
not simply as a
commercial
enterprise
